The Executive of Children Matter East
The Executive has some specific functions:
- To engage and involve the members of Children Matter East and the wider voluntary sector in conferences, training and consultations.
- To support the development of the sector across the region, in line with the purposes of Children Matter East.
- To support and develop the sector's dialogue and relationships with national, regional and local partners, e.g. Go East, TDA, Children's Trusts.
- To ensure that activity reflects the needs and circumstances of frontline organisations working with children, young people and their families.
- To monitor and assess Children's Trusts' levels of engagement with the sector, and the quality of the support arrangements in place for the VCS in each locality.
- To exercise and take executive responsibilities and decisions for Children Matter East, where and when it is appropriate to do so.
- To guide, co-ordinate and support resources invested (at the regional tier) to support the development of the sector.
- To develop and implement action/work plans to support the aims of Children Matter East, including the development of work around key themes.
